“ I've been going here for at least 25 years a local gem ! So fun and quirky with their decor. They do have a drive through , Be patient since it's usually a one or two person show you order when you're at the window and cash only fyi. Smaller menu than in the past but they rock the staples . Favorites hamburgers, coneys and cottage fries . I get the stuff on the side just so it's not loaded and a bit easier to eat. The gal i didn't catch her name but she's great!! Does the orders cooking and all she rocks . Next time you're in the area looking for something unique check them out ! So happy this business is still around ! I usually stop by when I'm visiting my folks . Thanks again Walt's ”

“ Why I've driven by this place and not stopped before is beyond me. Maybe it's because 59 opens up a bit there and I was hitting the gas. Maybe I didn't look closely enough. Who knows. But having worked up an appetite on a Habitat for Humanity treasure hunt I stopped in. It's a postage stamp of a place, painted a garish bodega yellow outside and chocked full of nostalgia and charm on the inside. A few booths and a small lunch counter and that's it. There isn't an inch of wall that doesn't have a picture, sign or nick nack on it. There's so much to look at you'll ignore your phone! It seems you can sign the wall but I didn't try. The menu is Coney basic and that's fine. Chilli fries, Coney dogs and chip like fries and that loose burger thing that I should try. But being the rebel I am I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a root beer. It was up in no time and was terrific. The burger was nicely done, the fries crispy and the root beer cold with no ice They read my mind! A guy on one side was tearing into a plate of chili fries like he was going to the chair and on the other an old time regular who had been through three marriages and four heart attacks, or vise versa! He was eating......fries. Hey he's playing with the casinos money at this point so why not! The chef owners were great and seemed to be having a blast serving friends, regulars and soon to be regulars like me! On 59 since 1936 this place is a treasure! All in a great experience and great food! Any place that's got a four heart attack guy coming back for fries has to be great. Walt's. Go! ”

“ In business for 86 years, it continues to offer high quality food, with a generous serving of nostalgia. They have a drive up window with a bell that you ring. I love this stand alone mustard colored building and the whole vibe transports you to past decades. Hotdogs come with a streamed bun, wrapped in wax paper. Delicious! I had their coney dogs without onions. The chili is fabulous and the hotdog is high quality. They offer drive thru as well as indoor dining. Cash only. ”
“ Prior ownership has returned ... and given the business a deep cleaning and fresh coat of paint. The coney's are still good. The fries are still good. But ... no more sliders? WTH? Staff/service is effective, efficient, knowledgeable and does their job with personality, and they know their regulars. Why only 4-stars? The coney's are not up to the same standard as Hippo's and I am a tad disappointed that sliders are absent from the menu. ”
